June 5, 2025 marks 400 years since the death of Orlando Gibbons, one of the greatest composers from the late English Renaissance. Although his life was cut short at the age of 41, Gibbons left a wealth of music for keyboard, viol consort, and voice. This workshop will explore:

The First Sett of Madrigals and Mottets of 5. parts: apt for Viols and Voyces (1612):

  • Trust not too much, fair youth

  • Daintie fine bird

  • Now each flowry banke of May
